I entered the academic in 1995, starting off at the Technicon of the Free State (now Central University of Technology), in 2003 I moved to the University of Zululand in where I am currently a senior lecturer in the Department of Accounting and Auditing. I am the Co-Ordinator of the Higher Certificate in Accountancy at the Richards Bay Campus. I enjoy working with young minds; I enjoy the challenges that comes with young inquisitive and eager to learn students.

Research interests:  Studies in the Professional development of Academic Staff in Higher Education.

• South African Institute of Professional Accountants (SAIPA).
• South African Accounting Association (SAAA).
