Ms Kyra Guy is currently a lecturer within the Department of Law based on the KwaDlangezwa Campus lecturing Maritime Law and the Law of Contract A and B. She holds an LLB from the University of Kwazulu-Natal, as well as an LLM in Maritime Law from the University of Kwazulu-Natal. Her research interests include the Law of the Sea as well as climate change, with particular focus on sea level rise and the implications on international law. She is currently undertaking her PhD within this area and is one of 50 candidates nationwide involved in the SATN’s PhD Capacity Enhancement Programme. Ms Guy also serves as an Ethekwini Maritime Cluster advisory board member on behalf of the University.
