Mr Jankeeparsad completed his B.Com (Accounting) undergraduate qualification at UKZN where he was awarded his degree Summa Cum Laude. He thereafter completed a B.Com Honours (Acct) at UKZN and a Masters in Commerce (Taxation) at the University of Pretoria.

After qualifiying as a Chartered Accountant, Mr Jankeeparsad lectured on the CTA programme and was appointed as the Academic leader of the Accounting department at UKZN. Mr Jankeeparsad then joined Unizulu with the goal of obtaining SAICA accreditation for the University. This accreditation was obtained in 2019. Mr Jankeeparsad is currently the Disicipline Head of the Financial Accounting section and is involved in the marking of both the SAICA ITC and APC. In addition to this, Mr Jankeeparsad is part of the SAICA Accreditation panel. His research interests include taxation and cryptocurrency and his paper on the Adoption of Bitcoin in South Africa was awarded the Best Paper Award at the prestigious SAAA International Conference.
