Adv Mthokozisi F Khuzwayo is a full-time tax law and administrative law lecturer from the faculty of Commerce, Administration and Law in the department of law at the University of Zululand. His area of research interest includes tax law, competition law, business law and administrative law. After the completion of his LL.B degree in 2016, he joined South African Revenue Service (SARS) on their 2 years  graduate program in their head office in Pretoria, he enjoyed the exposure to customs and excise department which many South Africans have little to none knowledge thereof and how it operates as part of taxes collection. After the completion of the graduate program, he was absorbed for the position of the Tax Specialist under Customs and Excise Centre of Excellence department where he worked until 30 March 2020 to join the University of Zululand. He is an admitted Advocate of the High Court RSA

Qualifications:

  • LL.D Candidate – Tax law (UNISA),
  • LL.M – Mercantile law with specialisation in Advanced Income tax law, Indirect taxation and Competition law (University of Pretoria),
  • LL.B (University of Zululand).

Research interests:

  • Tax law, competition law, business law and administrative law
